Marketplace fees

What we take. And when to upgrade.

Every marketplace rate, by plan, in full. Then the part most platforms won't tell you: the monthly sales volume at which a paid plan costs you less than staying on free.

Your monthly marketplace sales

Marketplace sales only — orders that come to you through the Eleo marketplace. Your own POS sales are never charged commission, and sales through your own storefront are charged at a lower rate.

The short version

Three rates, and one of them is zero

0%

Your own POS sales

Sales you make in person are never charged commission, on any plan. Your till is yours.

2%

Your own storefront

Orders through your own branded storefront, on your own domain. You brought the customer, so the rate is low.

3–10%

The Eleo marketplace

Orders we send you from shoppers browsing the marketplace. Your plan sets the rate — the calculator above shows yours.

From order to earnings

A payout is a traceable process, not a mystery deduction.

The available destination and timing depend on the seller's market, account verification, holds and payout configuration. The order-level calculation stays visible throughout.

01
The order locks its fees

The commission rate, processing cost and estimated net seller earnings are recorded against the order rather than recalculated later.

02
Eligibility comes before settlement

The order must pass its acceptance, fulfilment and applicable hold requirements. A hold stays visible instead of silently moving money.

03
Suite shows the money trail

Follow gross value, deductions, net earnings, settlement status, destination and payout history from the seller dashboard.

Good to know

Questions about the fees.

Do you take commission on my own sales?
No. Sales you ring up yourself — in person on the POS — carry no Eleo commission at all, on any plan. Commission applies to orders the Eleo marketplace brings you, and a lower rate applies to orders through your own storefront. You're charged for demand we send you, not for using your own till.
Why does the free plan pay the highest rate?
Free merchants get the full storefront and marketplace without paying a subscription, and that costs us real money to run. Commission carries that cost on the bottom tier. It also means the ladder is a genuine choice rather than a trap: as your marketplace volume grows, a paid plan becomes cheaper than free — the calculator above shows the exact point.
Is the commission all I pay?
On the merchant side, commission plus your payment processor's own fee, which we pass through at cost and never mark up. Buyers pay a separate service charge on marketplace orders, shown to them at checkout. Nothing is deducted twice and nothing is hidden in the payout — every deduction on an order is itemised in your wallet.
When does the rate change if I upgrade or downgrade?
Immediately on the plan change — the new rate applies to orders placed from then on. Orders already placed keep the rate they were priced at, so a plan change never retroactively alters an order you've already accepted.
When does a Marketplace order become payable?
The order must complete the acceptance, fulfilment and applicable hold requirements first. Suite then shows its settlement status, expected amount and the payout destination available to that store. A held or failed payout keeps its reason and next action visible.
How does this compare to other marketplaces?
Comparable Nigerian delivery marketplaces commonly take around 30% of order value, before delivery charges and with a heavier buyer-side service charge. Eleo's top rate is a fraction of that, and unlike a delivery marketplace you keep the customer relationship and the operating system that runs the rest of your business.
