RFM Segmentation

Eleo uses RFM analysis (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) to automatically group your customers into 5 segments:

SegmentWhat It MeansSuggested Action
ChampionsRecent, frequent, high-spendReward loyalty, ask for referrals
LoyalRegular customers, moderate spendUpsell, offer exclusive deals
At-RiskWere active but haven't ordered recentlySend re-engagement offer
One-TimeBought once, never returnedWelcome offer, follow-up message
DormantHaven't ordered in a long timeWin-back campaign or accept churn
Automatic computation

Segments are recomputed weekly. Segmentation starts automatically once you have 10 or more customers with orders.

How Segments Are Computed

  • Recency — How many days since the customer's last order
  • Frequency — How many orders they've placed (last 90 days)
  • Monetary — How much they've spent (last 90 days)

Each dimension is scored 1–5. The combination of scores determines the segment.

Viewing Segments

Customer Detail Page

Open any customer and click the Intelligence tab to see:

  • Segment badge (color-coded: gold = Champions, green = Loyal, amber = At-Risk, gray = One-Time, red = Dormant)
  • RFM score bars (visual representation of each dimension)
  • Churn risk score (0–100)
  • Estimated lifetime value

Customer Analytics Dashboard

Navigate to Customers > Customer Analytics to see:

  • Segment Distribution — Horizontal bar showing the proportion in each segment. Click a segment to filter the customer list.
  • Lifecycle Metrics — Active, at-risk, and churned counts
  • Key Metrics — Average LTV, orders per customer, days between orders
  • New vs Returning — Ratio of first-time to repeat buyers
  • At-Risk Panel — Top 10 at-risk customers by spend with direct profile links

Churn Risk

The churn risk score (0–100) indicates likelihood of a customer stopping purchases:

  • 0–30: Low risk — active customer
  • 31–60: Moderate — order frequency dropping
  • 61–100: High — significantly overdue vs. usual cadence

Lifetime Value (LTV)

LTV is estimated total spend computed from historical order value, order frequency, and recency pattern.
