Managing Stock
View current stock levels, make manual adjustments, and configure low-stock alerts.
Accurate stock data is critical for avoiding overselling and ensuring you can fulfil every order. Eleo tracks stock movements automatically when orders are placed, received, or returned. In addition, you can make manual adjustments to account for situations like physical counts, damaged goods, or transfers between locations.
Viewing stock levels
Navigate to Catalog → Stock → Manage Stock to see a summary of every product and its current quantity on hand. The overview supports searching by product name or SKU, and you can filter by category, brand, or stock status (in stock, low stock, out of stock). Products with variants display stock per variant so you can pinpoint exactly which sizes or colours are running low.
Adjusting stock manually
- 1
Navigate to Inventory → Stock
Open the stock overview from the sidebar.
- 2
Select a product
Find the product (or variant) whose stock you need to change. Click on the product row to open the stock detail view.
- 3
Click “Adjust Stock”
On the product detail page, click the Adjust Stock button. A modal will appear.
- 4
Enter quantity and select a reason
Enter the adjustment quantity. Use a positive number to add stock or a negative number to remove it. Then select a reason for the adjustment from the dropdown:
- Purchase — New stock received from a supplier.
- Damage — Items damaged and no longer sellable.
- Return — Customer return added back to stock.
- Transfer — Stock moved to or from another location.
- Correction — Manual count correction after a stock-take.
You can also add an optional note to provide more context (e.g. “Physical count on 2025-03-01”).
- 5
Save the adjustment
Click Save. The stock level updates immediately and the adjustment is recorded in the stock history for auditing purposes.
Low-stock alerts
You can set a low-stock threshold on any product. When the quantity on hand falls to or below this threshold, the product is flagged as “Low Stock” in the overview and, if enabled, a notification is sent to the relevant team members. To configure a threshold, open the product and enter a value in the Low Stock Threshold field under the Stock section.
Admins can create custom stock adjustment reasons to match your workflow. Go to Settings → Stock Management to add your own.
