DocumentationScheduling & Leave

Scheduling & Leave

Plan who works when, handle time off, and see both against each other.

Scheduling covers two halves of the same question. Rosters say who is working, on which day, on which shift. Leave says who is not available and why. The calendar views put the two side by side so you can catch the clashes before your team does.

How it fits together

Set these up in order and the rest follows:

  1. Shift types — the shifts your business runs, each with a code, times, a break allowance and a colour. Non-working types such as a rest day live here too.
  2. Member defaults — each person’s usual weekly pattern. This is what every auto-fill in the product applies.
  3. Leave types and entitlements — the categories of time off you offer, and how many days each carries per year.
  4. Rosters — one Monday-to-Sunday week at a time, built as a draft, published to the team, then locked.

Guides

  • Shifts & Rosters — Build weekly rosters, read a whole month in one grid, add people to a roster that already exists, and move between weeks.
  • Leave Management — Leave types and their rules, entitlements and adjustments, how a balance is worked out, the approval flow, and blackout periods.
  • Team Calendar — See who is off across the team, and use the store-wide calendar to spot scheduling conflicts.

What your team sees

Team members do not need access to the whole module to take part. My Shifts shows an individual their own published shifts, and My Leave shows their balances and lets them submit requests. Both are available on the web and in the mobile app, and neither exposes anyone else’s schedule.

Eleo does not record clock-in and clock-out. Hours anywhere in the product are the hours you rostered, not hours attended — so a shift that ran long, or that nobody turned up for, still reads as scheduled. Attendance tracking is not currently part of the product.
