Sales Channels
Set up and manage sales channels to organize orders by where they originate, from in-store counters to online platforms.
Sales channels (also called outlets) represent the different places or platforms where your business makes sales. A channel might be your physical store counter, an online storefront, a delivery platform like Glovo or Chowdeck, or a wholesale desk. By organizing orders into channels, you gain clear visibility into where your revenue comes from and can track performance across each selling location independently.
What are sales channels?
A sales channel is a named entry point for orders. When a team member creates an order, they can tag it with the channel it belongs to. This enables you to:
- Track revenue by channel — See how much each channel contributes to your total sales. This helps you identify your most profitable selling locations and allocate resources accordingly.
- Filter orders by origin — Quickly find all orders that came through a specific channel. This is useful for reconciliation, especially with third-party delivery platforms that have their own settlement cycles.
- Assign team members — Control which staff members can create orders under each channel. For example, you might restrict your wholesale channel to senior sales staff only.
- Generate channel-specific reports — Break down your sales analytics by channel to compare performance, identify trends, and spot opportunities for growth.

Name and configure the channel

Assign team members
Select which team members should have access to this channel. Only assigned members will be able to create orders under this channel. You can assign individual team members or entire roles. This is optional — if no members are assigned, all team members with order creation permissions can use the channel.
Managing existing channels
From the Sales Channels list, you can edit any channel by clicking on its name. You can update the channel name, description, assigned members, and configuration at any time. Changes take effect immediately and do not affect existing orders that were already tagged with the channel.
To delete a channel, click the delete icon next to the channel name. Deleting a channel does not delete the orders associated with it — those orders retain their channel tag for historical reporting. However, no new orders can be created under a deleted channel.
Channel-specific reporting
Once you have multiple channels set up, the Reports section will include channel breakdowns in your sales summaries. You can filter any report by channel to see revenue, order count, average order value, and other metrics specific to that channel. This is particularly valuable for businesses that sell through both physical and digital channels and need to compare their performance side by side.
