Device Management
View, rename, and manage your paired Eleo Edge devices. Monitor online status and revoke access.
The Edge Devices page gives you a centralised view of all Eleo Edge installations paired to your store. From here you can check which devices are online, view hardware details, rename devices, and revoke access when needed.
Device list
Navigate to Edge Devices from the sidebar to see all paired devices. The list displays:
- Device name — The name assigned to the device (defaults to the computer’s hostname).
- Platform — The operating system and architecture (e.g. “Windows / x64” or “macOS / arm64”).
- Version — The Edge app version currently installed.
- Status — Whether the device is currently online (connected to Eleo) or offline.
- Last seen — The last time the device checked in with the Eleo platform.
Click any device in the list to open its detail page.
Device detail page
The detail page shows comprehensive information about a specific Edge device:
- Platform and architecture — The OS and CPU architecture the device is running on.
- App version — Which version of Edge is installed. Check this to determine if the device needs updating.
- Hardware fingerprint — A unique identifier derived from the device’s hardware. This prevents the same pairing from being transferred to a different machine.
- Paired by — The team member who performed the pairing.
- Paired at — When the device was paired to your store.
- Online status and last seen — Real-time connectivity information.
Renaming a device
From the device detail page, you can update the device name to something more descriptive. For example, rename “DESKTOP-A1B2C3” to “Front Counter” or “Kitchen Station”. This makes it easier to identify devices when you have multiple Edge installations.
Use names that reflect the device’s physical location or purpose, such as “Main Counter”, “Warehouse PC”, or “Kitchen Display”. This is especially helpful for stores with multiple Edge devices.
Revoking a device
If a device is lost, stolen, decommissioned, or needs to be moved to a different store, you can revoke its access from the device detail page.
Click the Revoke Device button on the detail page. A confirmation dialog will appear. Once confirmed:
- The device is immediately disconnected from your store.
- It can no longer receive print jobs or sync data.
- The device is removed from your device list.
Revoking a device cannot be undone. To reconnect the same computer, you will need to go through the pairing process again with a new pairing code.
Monitoring device health
The Edge status is also visible from the Settings → Receipt Printing page. When Edge is connected, you will see a green dot with the number of detected printers and stations. If Edge is not running or not paired, a grey dot with “Edge Not Detected” is shown.
Edge checks in with the Eleo platform every 30 seconds. If a device goes offline (e.g. the computer is shut down or loses network connectivity), the status will update to “Offline” shortly after.
