Loyalty Program

Set up a points-based loyalty program so customers earn rewards on every qualifying order.

Enabling the Loyalty Program

  1. 1

    Open Loyalty Settings

Go to Store Settings > Loyalty Program.

  2. 2

    Toggle on

    Enable the Loyalty Program toggle.

  3. 3

    Configure rules

    Set your program parameters:

    • Earning rate — Percentage of order total earned as points (e.g., 5% means a 1,000 order earns 50 points)
    • Minimum order amount — Orders below this amount don't earn points
    • Points validity — How many days before earned points expire (e.g., 365 days)

How Customers Earn Points

Points are automatically credited when an order is completed. The formula is:

Points earned = order_total × (earning_rate / 100)

Points are only earned on orders above the minimum order amount you configured.

Point Expiration

Points expire based on the validity period you set. The system automatically checks every 2 days and expires points past their validity date. Customers are notified before expiration via their preferred channel.

Redemption

  1. 1

    Customer checks out

When creating an order, the POS shows available loyalty points.

  2. 2

    Choose points to redeem

The customer chooses how many points to redeem.

  3. 3

    Discount applied

Points are deducted from the balance and the discount is applied to the order total.

Best Practices

Getting started

Start with a 3–5% earning rate — generous enough to encourage repeat visits, sustainable for your margins. Set a reasonable minimum order amount and 365-day validity.

  • Combine with RFM segmentation: offer bonus points to at-risk customers as a re-engagement tactic
  • Set a minimum order amount to prevent gaming with tiny orders
  • Monitor point liability in your financial reports
